This time of year, it’s only right to give thanks for all the blessings in our lives. As a printing company that has been in business since 1931, we know a thing or two about gratitude. There are so many reasons to be thankful for where our business is today. We’ll start by showing our thanks for just a few of the tools that have revolutionized our industry over the years and helped us continue to innovate and grow over the past 90 years!
First and foremost, we need to express our gratitude for offset printing, which provided us the foundation for our business. If Robert Barclay hadn’t invented the rotary offset lithographic printing press in 1875, our founder, Harold Moeller, would have never gotten his start. As a young man, Harold traveled to New York City to learn this new technique, which quickly became known as the most efficient and vibrant form of commercial printing. Upon his return to Indianapolis, Harold’s shop became one of the first in the area to offer offset printing services.
Harold’s grandchildren, Dave Jr. and Chuck, have continued to benefit from printing advancements after taking over the company in 1987. One of the biggest changes was the introduction of digital printing, which offered increased flexibility and faster print turnaround times for our clients. Digital printing has also saved us countless hours of manual work, allowing us to take on more projects than ever and deliver all prints in a timely fashion. That’s something anyone under a deadline can be thankful for!
Along with digital printing, modern technology also brought us wide format and variable data printing. These printing features have helped us offer more customization and personal service for our customers. Variable data has helped us improve the quality of our customers’ prints by tailoring each message based on custom details, such as name, age, interests and buying habits. By offering this service, we’ve also become a direct mail hub for marketers across the country, which has been an exciting area of expansion for us.
Most of all, we’re incredibly thankful for our entire Moeller Printing family. Dave and Chuck’s father, Dave Sr., still works in the shop part time, and over the years our long-time team members have become part of our family, too. Without the hard work and contributions from our entire team, we wouldn’t be close to where we are today. You are the heart and soul of our business! We also want to thank our new and long-time customers alike for putting your trust in us. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you and can’t wait to continue working together for years to come!
